May the farce be with you

I was just introduced to this family of Robot Chicken Star Wars spoofs yesterday and they've rapidly obsessed me. Appears to be the same creative team behind the Star Trek 2.0 commercials (which I'll post later.) Thought I'd store them here for posterity.

My Top 10 Favorite Robot Chicken Star Wars spots:

#10 Luke's Training

#9 Max Reebo's Greatest Hits

#8 Jar Jar Returns

#7 Death Star Yo' Momma

#6 Death Star Orientation

#5 Boba Fett Wins

#4 Slight Weapons Malfunction

#3 Not Fully Operational Battlestation

#2 Ponda Baba's Bad Day

#1 The Emperor's Phone Call

Hope you enjoy...

Get a feel for the future of computing

Those who know me know what a techno geek I am. I count Minority Report as one of my favorite visions of future technology and it leaves me breathless with gear lust. A few videos have been circulating our office recently talking about the future of the computer interface. They're both worth a few minutes of your time...ten and four, respectively. If you don't have time to watch, they'll be coming to a computer near you in five years or less anyway. Just stay tuned.

TED technology innovation conference (see how with MultiTouch technology, the iPhone merely brushes the surface of interface potential)

Microsoft's tabletop computing (shows broader applications; tabletop file transfer is out of control. If you only have time for one of these vids, watch this one.)

Destined for the dynasty in the desert

Arizona softball just won their second consecutive national championship and eighth overall. Hey, Syd, can you say 'full ride scholarship'?

Retiring reflection

On June 1, Thomas Groves, M.D. retired. I wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank a man who has mended the bodies of thousands and healed the spirits of so many more. Mine included.

Enjoy the rest, Tom. You've definitely earned it.
